Sauk Rapids-Rice High School is a vibrant, student-centered, comprehensive high school located in Sauk Rapids, MN. Our district has provided an excellent high school facility which opened in 2003 and serves nearly 1300 students in grades 9-12. Our talented staff delivers challenging academics, numerous extracurricular activities, and a separate alternative program for students in grades 11 and 12.
Our trimester system with five period days, gives students flexibility in scheduling and a wealth of course options. The ninth grade transition program is a unique teaming concept that prepares students to take advantage of the upper level courses in 13 different departments. Our Connections advisory program is focused on making connections between staff and students and preparing students for their future through our partnership with the University of Minnesota’s Ramp Up To Readiness.
Highlights of our upper level include seven Advanced Placement courses, a growing number of College in the Classroom options, pre-engineering and vocational/technical courses, and Health Career Internships that allow students to earn credits and explore career options.

Through college-level AP courses, you enter a universe of knowledge that might otherwise remain unexplored in high school; through AP Exams, you have the opportunity to earn credit or advanced standing at most of the nation’s colleges and universities.
