Food Service News for District Families and Students
On Monday, September 21, the Sauk Rapids-Rice Board of Education approved the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Waiver that allows free meals for all early childhood through grade 12 students in school. This free lunch program began on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, and has been extended through the 2020-21 school year. This is a federal program and all Sauk Rapids-Rice early childhood through grade 12 students will receive free lunches regardless of the learning model they are participating in. Unlike last spring, this program is only for students enrolled in the district’s early childhood through grade 12 schools.
