Amanda Pflipsen is Sauk Rapids-Rice High School’s October/November STORM Staff of the Month. She exemplifies SRRHS’s core values by positively participating in the school community, showing consideration and acceptance for all and demonstrating integrity in relationships, actions and work.
Ms. Pflipsen’s official title is district nurse and licensed school nurse. She is one of ISD 47’s health care HEROES, especially during this challenging time. Did you know Ms. Pflipsen not only works for Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools but is also a proud graduate of Sauk Rapids-Rice High School herself? Her dedication and commitment to our schools run deep.
She has been with the district for eight academic years and worked as a substitute in various district positions before her hire. Ms. Pflipsen also has licensure as a K-12 school counselor.
When asked about her favorite part of working in the district, Ms. Pflipsen says she enjoys that no two days of her job are alike. She says, “My job is challenging and fast-paced. I love connecting with students of all ages across the district and seeing the students’ unique personalities and situations.”
Ms. Pflipsen has been married to Dan for nine years. They have three children: Landon, age 7, Emma, age 5 and Tate, age 3. In her spare time, Ms. Pflipsen enjoys running, reading and spending time outdoors.
