Fall is in the air—you can almost taste it! Sauk Rapids-Rice High School culinary students will demonstrate how to make butternut squash-apple bruschetta at the Sprout Growers and Makers Marketplace in Little Falls, Minn., on October 26. Culinary teacher Mrs. Levinski says even students who don’t generally like squash love this recipe. Her students gain hands-on, real world culinary experience and management skills through the ProStart national two-year training program.
The Sprout Growers and Makers Marketplace highlights the arts and features cooking demonstrations monthly. The market runs October through March where food producers and artists assemble to showcase their produce and work. Dining and food sampling opportunities are available at the Cabin Fever restaurant, and there are free art activities for all ages.
