Class of 2026 Graduation Information

Parents, Guardians, and Seniors: Pay close attention to submission requirements below; yearbook staff and adviser cannot be held responsible for those who do not follow the specific submission requirements stated below. 

SENIOR PICTURES

Senior portraits are due on January 9, 2026. The yearbook staff reserves the right to refuse your photograph if it does not meet the requirements listed below, so please make good choices and use good judgment with your submissions.

This image will appear in the Senior Portrait section of the yearbook. 

• DO:
  • Senior pictures do not need to be professionally taken, but it is preferred.
  • Senior pictures must be in a digital format (.jpg preferred; 300 DPI).
  • The photo will be a vertical format, wallet size (we will crop accordingly to best fit the portrait space).
  • Color or black and white is acceptable
     
• DO NOT:
  • NO PROPS (athletic equipment, instruments, animals, children, vehicles, etc.)
  • No hand gestures
  • No Instagram/SnapChat filters
     

Portraits must be digitally submitted. *NO PHOTOS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT SCHOOL.*

SENIOR RECOGNITION ADS

• Senior recognition ads can be purchased for $50 until January 9, 2026. 
• Photos should be submitted via the Yearbook Recognition Ad link 
• You MUST label the image in the following format: RA.Lastname_Firstname

Each year the Sauk Rapids Herald creates a Senior Keepsake Edition for our graduates and their families. There is no cost to submit the questionnaire and we, SRRHS, will take care of submitting your senior photo that was submitted for the yearbook. This is completely optional, yet a nice way to showcase our seniors and their accomplishments.

Celebrate your graduate! Class of 2026 Yard Signs will be available for purchase on May 1, 2026.

• May be purchased in the main office with cash or check (checks made out to SRRHS)
• Signs come with a yard stake
• Signs are double-sided

 

The Class of 2026 Senior Fee will be applied to graduates' Skyward accounts near the end of February and is due by May 1, 2026. The $50.00* fee can be paid through Skyward Family Access, under Fee Management, or with cash or check in the main office.

The fee helps cover many costs associated with graduation, including senior picnic, senior pizza party, commencement ceremony facility use, transportation to and from the ceremony, flowers, programs, venue security, and diploma covers. *This fee does not cover the Graduation Lock-In Party.

Important: Graduation Ceremony Ticket Distribution – Class of 2026

As we prepare to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the Class of 2026, we want to provide you with clear information regarding the ticketing process for our upcoming commencement ceremony.

Our goal is to ensure a safe, organized, and celebratory environment for every graduate and their guests. To accommodate all families within our venue’s capacity, we have finalized the following ticket distribution plan.

The Allotment: 10 Tickets per Graduate

Each graduating senior will receive an allotment of 10 tickets. Tickets are required for all guests entering the ceremony (with the exception of small children who will remain on a lap). Class of 2026 graduates who are participating in the ceremony do not need a ticket. 

Please treat these tickets like cash; they will not be replaced if lost.

Ticket Pickup: Starting May 5, 2026 (during Cap and Gown Distribution)       

Students may begin picking up their tickets on Tuesday, May 5, during cap and gown distribution. Students must be on track to graduate in order to pick up graduation items. Only the graduating student may pick up their tickets.

  • North Commons from 8:20-10:00 (students released by announcement)
  • Main Office from 10:00-4:00
  • Main Office from 7:30-4:00 Monday - Friday (after May 5)

  • Only the graduating student may pick up their tickets.
  • Students must sign for their tickets.
• Ticket Security
  •  Please treat these tickets like cash; they will not be replaced if lost.

Extra Tickets

We recognize that graduation is a significant milestone that involves many loved ones. While 10 tickets is a generous allotment, we want to be transparent about any unused or extra tickets. 

If your family will not use all 10 tickets, we encourage you or your student to connect with other Class of 2026 graduates to see if they need additional tickets. It is up to individual families to offer unused tickets to other families. Sauk Rapids-Rice High School will not manage, collect, or redistribute any extra or unused tickets.

There will be no extra tickets at the door.

Venue

The Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony will take place on May 26, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Rivers Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Parking ramps are available near the venue and will be free of charge.

Seating

All tickets are free, general admission, and must be picked up at the high school by the graduating student prior to May 22, 2026.

Seating in the venue is open, and specific and/or consecutive seats are not guaranteed. Families and guests with special needs are encouraged to arrive early. Staff will be available to support guests who may require seating assistance.

Doors will open 60 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Backpacks and other large bags or purses, as well as balloons or signs, are prohibited in the venue. Guests with infants may bring a diaper bag.

Livestream

For those unable to attend in person, we are proud to offer a high-quality livestream of the entire ceremony. This allows extended family and friends across the country to join in the celebration in real time. The link will be shared on our school website as we get closer to the date.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for your help in making this a respectful and joyous occasion for our students and community.

Cap, gown, and tassel packages have been ordered by the school for each student. 

Cap, gown, and tassel packages will be distributed starting in May to seniors who are on track to graduate and have paid the senior fee. Students will keep the package after graduation. 

Students will be called down to the commons for pick up during periods 1 and 2. Students who are unable to pick up during those times can stop by the main office to pick up their package during office hours of 7:30-4:00, Monday–Friday.

SENIOR WALK THROUGH -Thursday, May 21

Seniors are invited to put on their cap and gown and walk down memory lane through the halls of their younger years. We ask that seniors RSVP, so we have appropriate transportation.

Tuesday, May 26, Immediately Following Practice

Location: Sauk Rapids Municipal Park, 1001 River Ave N, Sauk Rapids, MN 56379

• The senior picnic will be immediately following graduation practice at the Municipal Park Pavilion in Sauk Rapids. 

• Enjoy lunch with your classmates (lunch is provided).

• Please bring yard games to share if you are able.

• All seniors should be available until approximately 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26.

• Students who are planning to participate in the commencement ceremony are required to attend practice.
• Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from practice.
• Practice is for students only; no parents/guardians will be allowed to attend. 
• Please park in the parking ramps.
• Students will enter the Main Entry (Door C or D).

River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud  - 10 4th Ave S, St Cloud, MN 56301

• Graduates must report to the high school, Door 6, by 5:40 p.m. on May 26, dressed in formal attire, including cap and gown.
• Caps may NOT be decorated.
• Student transportation to and from the ceremony will be provided.
• Graduates will be placed in alphabetical order before the ceremony.
• The senior class will move through commencement as one group.
• Guests will enter Door C or Door D at River's Edge Convention Center
• Spectator seating will begin at 6:00 p.m.
• Tickets are required to attend the ceremony and are all general admission.

• Seating in the venue is open, and specific and/or consecutive seats are not guaranteed. 

• Handicap seating is available. Please see an usher if assistance is needed.
• Programs will be limited to immediate family.
• Immediately following the recessional, families are invited to meet their students outside on the plaza for pictures (weather permitting). If it is raining, families will be invited to come to the Terry Haws room C to take pictures.
• After pictures, graduates will return to the high school on the bus for the Graduation Celebration Lock-In. Specifics regarding this event have been mailed to seniors and posted on the high school graduation website.
• If you are unable to attend the ceremony in person, please join us by using the livestream link on the website. We will broadcast the 2026 commencement ceremony starting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26. A link to be posted on our website.
