Our mission is to promote the development of youth to their full potential, believing that all people have within themselves the strength, capability and potential to make healthy lifestyle choices. Our goal is to nurture those choices by promoting safe and drug-free schools through education, collaboration, prevention and intervention. Parents are an integral part of the success of their children and have a great responsibility to be educated about the issues surrounding alcohol and other drugs.
Support services available to you and your family as a result of District 47′s collaboration with St. Cloud Hospital’s Recovery Plus unit include:
- Education through classroom presentations, workshops, speakers, substance abuse classes, social skills training, conflict resolution and health promotion.
- Student support through group facilitation, individual counseling, drug testing, peer leadership, youth service, intervention, referral.
- Program administration, which consists of needs assessment, program planning, policy development, updates and grant writing.
