Support services are available to you and your family as a result of Sauk Rapids-Rice Public School′s collaboration with CentraCare Addiction Services

Our mission is to promote the development of youth to their full potential, believing that all people have within themselves the strength, capability and potential to make healthy lifestyle choices. Our goal is to nurture those choices by promoting safe and drug-free schools through education, collaboration, prevention and intervention. Parents are an integral part of the success of their children and have a great responsibility to be educated about the issues surrounding alcohol and other drugs.

Support services available to you and your family through CentraCare Addiction Services include:

• Education through classroom presentations, workshops, speakers, substance abuse classes, social skills training, conflict resolution and health promotion.
• Student support through group facilitation, individual counseling, drug testing, peer leadership, youth service, intervention, referral.
• Program administration, which consists of needs assessment, program planning, policy development, updates and grant writing.

“Special services” is educational instruction, specific to the child, at no cost to parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability. | Read More
 

STEPS is an alternative program designed to assist juniors and seniors with educational needs that cannot be met within the traditional high school program. Smaller class sizes, individualized student learning, and allowing students to work at their own pace, provides a fresh start for educational success.

Sauk Rapids-Rice Adult  Education offers a variety of classes to learners, 17 and over, through Adult Education, student may complete their Diploma and GED .  Community Education offers a variety of adult enrichment classes.

Through partnership with the City of Sauk Rapids, a police liaison officer is present in our schools. Students are reminded that their behavior is subject to the laws of the State of Minnesota and the City of Sauk Rapids.
