Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools values our strong community partnerships that enrich the lives of students and families. Through our Community Backpack, we are proud to share activities and events that help make Sauk Rapids and Rice outstanding places to live, learn, and grow.

If you would like to share an event or opportunity with SRR families, please carefully review the guidelines and process below.

Submission Process
To submit your flyer for consideration:

• Email your request to julie.mrozek@isd47.org
• Subject line: Community Backpack Request
• Attachment: Finalized PDF format flyer (as you’d like it posted)
• Timeline: Allow 3–5 business days for review and posting
• You will be contacted if additional details are needed

Flyer Approval Guidelines
Flyers must:

• Be submitted by recognized community, educational, charitable, or recreational organizations
• Be relevant and beneficial to students and families in Sauk Rapids-Rice
• Take place within the SRR district boundaries (Sauk Rapids or Rice area)
• Align with the district’s mission, values, and Board-approved policies
• Be submitted in a readable PDF format (no live hyperlinks)
• Clearly identify the organization name
• Avoid conflicts with SRR district programming or schedules

Flyers must not:

• Promote a political candidate, party, or ballot proposition
• Include religious messaging, though you may identify a sponsoring religious organization
• Include individualized personal messages (e.g., birthdays, family announcements)
• Include commercial promotions or fundraisers not directly benefiting SRR students/families
• Depict or reference alcohol, tobacco, vapes, drugs, or similar products
• Include unauthorized use of SRR names, logos, school buildings, students, or staff
• Contain defamatory, indecent, or disruptive content
• Violate the rights or privacy of others

• Flyers are subject to district review and approval
• SRR Public Schools does not endorse or sponsor external organizations or their events
