October 1, 2014 | The Sauk Rapids-Rice school district buildings have been inspected for asbestos containing materials. Mississippi Heights Elementary School and the Sauk Rapids-Rice High School do not have any asbestos containing materials, but some of the buildings do have areas where asbestos is present. This material is in very good condition. A surveillance is done every six months, and all areas are inspected by a certified inspector every three years. An operation and maintenance program is used to keep the asbestos in good condition.The inspection report and management plan is located in the district office area. Fourteen Compete in Virtual Event
On Tuesday, January 12, students from multiple schools across the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District competed in the district’s annual spelling bee.
