Teachers of the Year 2021-2022
Congratulations to Tina Douvier and Trisha Bemboom as 2021-2022 Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools Teachers of the Year! 👍🏆
Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools is proud to announce the 2021–2022 Sauk Rapids-Rice Teachers of the Year! Teachers are nominated by their peers and interviewed by a panel of eight staff members. Congratulations to Tina Douvier, the district’s Elementary Teacher of the Year and Trisha Bemboom, the district’s Secondary Teacher of the Year, winners!
Because ISD 47 is fortunate to have hundreds of amazing staff members, the challenge of choosing a “top teacher” to represent our talented staff is a difficult one. These nominees have been chosen for their amazing work in classrooms, the impact they have on their students, and their involvement with students, staff, families, and community members across the district.
Tina Douvier teaches kindergarten at Rice Elementary School. Mrs. Dovier is in her twelfth year with the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District. She has been married to Terry for thirty-two years and has three children, Emily, Eliza and Clayton. Tina is from a family of twelve and grew up in Rice.
Tina is grade-level chair and on the International Baccalaureate and language arts committees. Mrs. Douvier served as Sauk Rapids Township Clerk for nineteen years.
"As a teacher, she provides a calm and supportive environment for her students. Each student is seen and heard in Tina’s classroom. Tina has found a wonderful balance of positivity, structure, and high expectations for her Kindergarteners.
Trisha Bemboom teaches special education, advanced leadership, and leadership basics at the high school. She is in her twenty second year of teaching in the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District. Trisha is married to Joel, and the mother of Megan, Addison, and Andrew.
Mrs. Bemboom is the varsity girls tennis coach, student council advisor, and homecoming coordinator. Trisha serves as a board member for the National Association for Student Activities and serves on many other committees through the high school.
"Overall, Trisha Bemboom would be a great candidate for teacher of the year for the Sauk Rapids-Rice Public School district because of all the school activities she is a part of. She works so hard to give students a chance to succeed and grow to be awesome individuals. I look to Trisha as a huge role model to myself, I want to be able to impact students' lives as much as she does with hers."
