Summer 2026 Programming Update

We want to share important information about our summer 2026 programming. We want to provide clarity now so you can plan for the months ahead.

There will be no summer school for students in grades K–8. This is a change for our elementary and middle school families. We will continue to offer summer school and credit recovery opportunities for students in grades 9–12.

We make this decision after reviewing several factors:

• Participation rates remain low.
• We continue to face challenges filling open positions.
• We are not able to provide transportation or meals, which limits access for many students.
• Program costs exceed what we can maintain.

Extended School Year (ESY) services will continue for students who receive special education services in PK–12.

Students in grades 6–12 will attend Sauk Rapids-Rice High School.

Students in grades K–5 will attend Pleasantview Elementary.

Transportation will be provided for students who qualify for ESY.
