Important Information: Summer Access to the High School - Construction Closures

Construction has begun on the Creekside Early Education Center, the Sauk Rapids Community Center, and the Outdoor Activities Complex.  The high school campus is normally a hub of activity from June through August with activities, camps, and summer school classes.  However, this summer, there are several large construction projects as well as facility improvement projects that are currently underway or set to begin on June 1 at the high school.

Please check with your child’s coach, teacher, or program facilitator if they are unsure of the correct location.

Starting June 1, all community members attending programming at the high school this summer will need to enter Osauka Road NE and park in the main parking lot located outside of door 2 (route marked in green on the linked map).

Please view the map with the routes and locations marked.

Spring 2026 Construction Closures Traffic Map at the High School

  • The routes marked in green are open for high school activities and district office traffic.
  • The routes marked in red will be closed to all traffic during construction, and
  • The routes marked in yellow are for the construction truck entrance and exit only.

We understand that this will create some challenges when it comes to accessing our spaces at the high school. Please note that because we will not be having our normal traffic patterns, we will need to be extra vigilant when watching for pedestrian traffic.

The only access to the high school property from June 1 to mid-August will be on Osauka Road NE.
