Middle School Attendance Policy

All attendance regulations are in accordance with the District #47 attendance policy. The following are specific to SRRMS:

• Your parents/guardians are asked to call the attendance secretary prior to 8:30 am to report your absence. The phone number is 654-9073. When you return please bring a parent note to the attendance secretary before 8:10 am.

• We realize there are emergencies when it is necessary and important for students to be gone with their parents/guardians. Parents/Guardians are asked to notify the school  in advance when extended absences are required. You will be given an advanced assignment form which should be taken to each teacher for the listing of make-up work.

• You will have two days to complete missed work for each day you were absent because of illness or emergency. It is your responsibility to collect this work from your teachers.

• Students wishing to attend a funeral during school hours of a person other than immediate family need to have a written note from parent/guardian excusing them prior to leaving school. The note must indicate if the student is riding to the funeral with anyone other than a parent/guardian.
