Career Center

The Sauk Rapids-Rice High School Career Center is here to assist you with post high school educational planning and career exploration. Whether you are trying to select a college, looking for scholarships or seeking a part time job, we are here to help!

• College/University/Military Options:
  The Career Center hosts representatives from area colleges, universities and military branches allowing students the opportunity to ask questions and obtain applications and other materials. We also have a library overflowing with information about colleges and universities across the country.
  Admissions Counselor Visits

• Financial Aid and Scholarships:
  Students can utilize Career Center computers to look up Financial Aid and Scholarship information. Staff are available to assist students in finding websites with valuable information.

• Career Exploration and Job Shadowing:
  Students can utilize the career library materials as well as computers to research their career of choice. Students are also encouraged to participate in our Job Shadow program. This program allows the student to follow an employee at a workplace to learn about their occupation or industry. Junior and senior students are also encouraged to participate in our job shadow program – we don’t offer this to freshmen or sophomores.

• Job/Volunteer Opportunities:
  The Career Center posts local job openings on our bulletin board. We have a file of job applications for student use. Staff are available to assist students in completing applications. Volunteer opportunities both within the district and area communities are also posted.
