Sauk Rapids-Rice High School
Braden is the son of Don and Carrie Burggraff of Sartell. His school activities include MN Honor
Society, P4T (Project For Teens), Math League, and Co-President of DECA (Distributive
Education Clubs of America). He was also a contestant in this year’s Storm Survivor Week.
Outside of school, Braden enjoys watching sports, especially baseball and football. In his free
time, he likes to play frisbee and spend time with friends. He is the youngest of 4 to graduate
Braden will be attending the University of St. Thomas to pursue a degree in Statistics or Marketing.
Noelle is the daughter of Mike and Virginia Daniels of Sauk Rapids. She is a 4 year member of the Girls Soccer team where she was a senior captain. Other high school activities include Link Crew, Prom Committee, MN Honor Society, Principal’s Cabinet, Storm Leadership Council, and Co-President of DECA. Noelle enjoys being outdoors and participated in the Les Voyageurs
program last summer.
Noelle plans to attend the University of MN, Twin Cities. She is unsure of her major at this
Jack is the son of Michael and Jessica Grabinski of Sauk Rapids. He has been very active in high
school sports and clubs. He was a captain of both the Cross Country and Boy’s Swim and Dive
teams. He also participates in Track and Field. Jack’s other school activities include Student
Council, Green Team, Link Crew, Storm Leadership, and Science Bowl. Outside of school, he has
a passion for the outdoors where he enjoys fishing, hunting, biking, and kayaking. He also likes
spending time with friends and family and eating food.
Jack will be attending St. John’s University to pursue a degree in science. He will also be on the
St. John’s Dive Team.
Logan is the son of Shawn and Judy Hackett of Rice. His passion in high school has centered
around band. He participates in Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Summer Marching Band. Logan is
also a member of MN Honor Society. Outside of school, he has a love for animals and spends
time volunteering at the Tri-County Humane Society. With any spare time, Logan works at Kwik
Logan will be attending North Dakota State University to study Biology or Environmental
Science. He may someday pursue a Veterinary Medicine degree.
Kjerstin is the daughter of Sheilagh and Todd Johnson of St. Cloud and Rick and Heidi Novak of
Pine City. She has been active in Soccer, Track and Field, Link Crew, MN Honor Society, and
Knowledge Bowl. Kjerstin also enjoyed being a contestant in our school’s Survivor Week this year. Beyond the school day, she loves to travel. She has visited 31 countries! Her love of flying
has led her to choose a career in Aviation.
Kjerstin plans to attend MN State University, Mankato to study Aviation. Her goal is to become
a commercial airline pilot.
Emily is the daughter of Russell and Amy Kath of Sauk Rapids. Her activities include FFA (Future
Farmers of America), DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) and MN Honor Society.
Emily definitely enjoys the outdoors and has a passion for agriculture. She owns a herd of beef
cattle and owns a lawn mowing business with her brother.
Emily will be attending North Dakota State University to pursue a major in Horticulture and a
minor in Business.
Claire is the daughter of Pam Maurus of Sauk Rapids and Gunther Maurus of Mankato. She
participated in MN Honor Society, Math League, Art Club, GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance), Concert
Band, and Service Club. She has also been involved in Girl Scouts. Additionally, her love of
reading often landed her in the Media Center as a student helper.
Claire will attend the College of Science and Engineering at the University of MN, Twin Cities.
She plans to pursue a degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
McKenna is the daughter of Doug and Denise Welk of St. Cloud. She is a member of MN Honor
Society and Link Crew. Outside of school, McKenna participates in Big Brothers Big Sisters and
spends time volunteering. She volunteers for LITL Disciples and attends youth group at her
church. She also volunteers at Catholic Charities and the Tri-County Humane Society. McKenna
works at Sta-Fit.
McKenna will be attending St. Cloud State University for a degree in Elementary Education.
Nathan is the son of Jeffrey and Tracy Wollak of Rice. He has been heavily involved in the band
program. He is a member of Concert Band (President), Jazz Band, Pit Orchestra, Drumline
(Logistics Captain), Wind Ensemble, Marimba Choir, and Marching Band (Drum Major). He is
also a member of MN Honor Society. Throughout the year, Nathan participates in the TEC
(Together Encountering Christ) Program and in the summers, he volunteers at the St. Cloud VA
Health Care Center.
Nathan will be in the Honors Program at Bemidji State University. He plans to become a high
school math teacher.
Mikayla is the daughter of David and Michelle Zaske of Rice. She enjoys being active both in
and out of school. In school, she is involved in Girls Swim and Dive, Track and Field, Nordic
Skiing, Student Council, MN Honor Society, P4T (Project For Teens), Link Crew, Class Officer,
Storm Leadership Council, and Prom Committee. Outside of school, Mikayla is actively involved
in her church and loves to read, jam out to music, and spend time with family and friends. She
also enjoys traveling, trying new experiences, and meeting new people.
Mikayla will be attending Gustavus Adolphus College where she will be studying in the medical
