Pleasantview Elementary

^{Music enriches lives. Nearly all people have an appreciation for listening to music, but we want to offer the opportunity for all students to experience the joy of reading and performing it as well.

At Sauk Rapids-Rice schools we include music in the curriculum at the very beginning--elementary grades. Music is taught enthusiastically and at a level that encourages participation by all. We teach basic note values and how to read the treble clef. We also teach age appropriate vocal music.

Each grade level has one concert during the year which is open to parents, friends and the general public. The students rehearse diligently for these concerts and take great pride in their performances! It is our hope that this beginning music phase instills a love for music in all of our students that will carry on through their school years and beyond.
