New Marching Band Calendar
 Update: 4/8/09
The 2009 Summer Marching Band season is taking shape.  You will find our updated calendar HERE for 2009.  There may be some changes to the details, but the start andend points are accurate.  Our music for 2009 will be music from the NEW WORLD SYMPHONY.  An information booklet will be out soon and of course our membership book will be updated and posted here soon as well.

The section leaders and drum majors for 2009 have been chosen.  Congratulations to drum majors Katie Campbell and Alex Twohy!  Section leaders for 2009 include Catherine Iburg-Colorguard; Jennifer Schroeder-Flute; Becca Varoga-Clarinet; Amy Skroch-Saxophone; Erin Twohy-Horn; Matthew Schroeder-Trumpet; Ellie Frischmann-Trombone; Sam Larum-Baritone; Robert Cooley-Tuba.  It is going to be a great season and we are all excited to work on the new show and climb the ladder toward success.  As announced before, we are beginning a uniform campaign.  A design has been selected  and can be previewed HERE.  We are planning to purchase drum major uniforms this year and test out the new fabric abilities.  A sample uniform will be on display for parents and students to view.

Our season will include two major program funding events:  Tonic Sol-Fa and our parent preview night.  Tonic Sol-Fa will be at SRRHS on Friday, April 24.  The performance will begin at 7:30 pm and will cost $15 at the door.  Advanced ticket sales ($12) can be secured by contacting Mr. Campbell at (320) 258-1772.  Parent preview night will involve the same great meal that we have offered in the past with one exception--MORE FOOD!  The preview event will be held on Friday, June 12 from 5:00-7:00 pm.  We invite everyone to stay following the meal to enjoy the innaugural performance of the season by our middle school and high school marching bands!

The remaining season details can be found on a web site called www.charmsoffice.com.  This is the host site for all of our dynamic information we offer parents and students about the season.  Concerns about weather situations can be found in the announcements portion of the page.  Updates on calendar events can be found on the page.  Financial account information can be found on the page.  Forms and fundraising information can be found on the page.  We submit all handouts and announcements which are offered at practices to the charms website.  Please use it as often as you have questions.  Our goal is to keep you informed with the latest, most accurate information.

To log into charmsoffice.com, enter "srrhsband" in the student/parent login box on the main page.  This will take you to the general student access page.  To get further into the web page details, you must enter a specific password that is unique to each student.  To begin access, students will need to first register for summer marching band.  Your name, and basic info will be gleened from your registration form into the charms database.  Your password will be your formal first and last name without a space.  It is recommended that you change that password as soon as possible after you register.  Please contact Mr. Campbell if you have problems using charms.

The MARCHING STORM was chosen to be a part of the 2009 International LionsParade in Minneapolis this summer.  Our season will be slightly longerthan normal to accomodate this event!  Please also take note that weare going to try marching in the Annandale 4th of July parade.  If youfamily has 4th of July plans, see what you can do to alter that date so we can march in full force for Annandale!

Thanks for considering being a part of the 2009 MARCHING STORM.  Log into the charms web page for the latest information about our summer season.
